The call
Nine seconds. This one is a plain reminder, so there is nothing for them to answer.

BY CALL, TEXT, OR EMAILBeta
A short, kind reminder by call, text, or email for medicine, meals, appointments, and the visits they are looking forward to, on the schedule you choose. They answer with one key or two words. There is nothing to install and nothing new in the house.
Nothing to install for them. Cancel any time.
Your 14-day trial includes up to 30 minutes. No card needed.

WHERE IT ARRIVES
Reminders fit the person and their routine. You choose when they happen and can make changes anytime.
They reply to a text, answer an email, or press one number during a short call. No app, no account, no new phone number, no tablet, and no recording of anyone's voice.
Nine seconds. This one is a plain reminder, so there is nothing for them to answer.

Not a conversation. It says the one thing, and goes.
ONE SCHEDULE, TWO DIFFERENT JOBS
A reminder means something different depending on who's receiving it. You choose which, during setup.
That is person-centered support: each cue is shaped around the person's needs and preferences without taking over more than necessary.
EARLY MEMORY CHANGES
They still run their own day and they want to keep running it. What slips is the appointment three weeks out and the pill at 4pm in the afternoon.
A prompt at the right time, and nothing more. Nothing that treats them as though they need more help than they do. A wellness check is there if you want to hear back, and off if you do not. Understand how prompts fit into daily support in our guide to memory aids and reminders.
DEMENTIA SUPPORT
The day loses its shape. Meals, medicine and appointments drift, and the person holding it all together is usually you, from somewhere else, by phone.
A calm voice arrives at the right moment, says the one thing, and goes. It does not scold, it does not rush, and it sounds the same on the fourth day as on the first.
“It's the constant, invisible mental load of medications, appointments, and daily routines that falls entirely on your shoulders.”
Most reminders just arrive and go. For the ones that matter, you can ask for an answer.
On a reminder they can reply DONE, or SKIP if they decided not to, or CALL ME if they would rather talk to you. On a call it is press 1, 2, or 3.
A wellness check is simpler. It asks only whether they are okay. ALL OK closes it. CALL ME or NOT OK reaches you right away.
If a reminder goes out by text, call, and email, they only have to answer once. The first answer closes it.
Marked done means they said so. It does not mean the pill was taken. Nothing that arrives by phone can know that.

KindredMind waits, tries once more, and waits again. You choose both waits, anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. It starts at fifteen and fifteen.
Then you hear from it, by text, by email, or both.
That message tells you nobody answered. It does not tell you why.
Not every missed reminder deserves a buzz in the middle of your workday. For each one you choose:
CALL ME and NOT OK always reach you right away, whatever you have chosen.

Add up to three backup contacts, in the order you want them tried, each with a name, a phone number, and an email. Turn any of them on or off whenever you need to. Their details are encrypted.
Every reminder and check-in leaves a line. Sent, waiting, marked done, skipped, confirmed okay, contact requested, or no response after the retry. With the time, the message, and how they answered.

It says the thing and goes. Conversation is what KindredMind Voice is for.
It does not tell you the pill was taken. Nothing that arrives by phone can know that.
KindredMind does not diagnose, treat or monitor anyone, and it cannot call for help.
Care Expert Review
Assessed by Jeanette Yates against the Trusted Care Technology Framework
“It eases the constant vigilance a caregiver would otherwise shoulder alone, which may be the most clinically meaningful thing a tool in this space can do.”
“Designed to provide comfort, connection, and gentle guidance while supporting independence and reducing stress for family caregivers.”
Tell us their first name only, what you call them, and their phone number. Let us know if they live in a care community or at home, so calls come at the right time.
Write the first reminder in your own words and pick the days.
Choose whether you want an answer, and how you want to hear about it.
That's the whole of it, and nothing's locked in. You can change it anytime.

One reminder is one reminder, even across text, call, and email. A wellness check counts as two: one for the check itself, and one for the follow-up email to you.

No. A text works on any cell phone, the call works on a landline, and email works anywhere. There is nothing to install and no account for them to make.
KindredMind tries once more, waits, and then tells you. You choose both waits and whether you hear about it right away or in a daily summary.
No. The trial runs 14 days without one.
