For Specialty Retailers · Dementia Product Distributors · Care Equipment Resellers · Senior Care Catalogs · Healthcare Supply Networks
Your catalog already serves dementia families: memory phones, GPS trackers, communication aids, sensory products, daily-living tools. What has been missing is something that addresses the call itself. KindredMind is built for that gap. If you sell to dementia families and have been looking for a category we have not yet seen at retail, we should talk.
Memory phones make calling easier for the person with dementia. KindredMind handles the calls that come back, on the family caregiver's side. Your customers buying memory phones from you are exactly the families dealing with repetitive calling. The two products are bought together, not as substitutes.
KindredMind is a subscription product, not a one-time hardware purchase. The economics for distributors are different from your current catalog. We work through this with each partner directly.
KindredMind is grounded in published clinical frameworks: Alzheimer Society of Canada communication guidance, simulated presence therapy, validation therapy. A 2024 randomized controlled trial published in the International Journal of Neuroscience (PubMed 38646703) found meaningful reductions in agitated behaviors, anxiety, and caregiver burden when familiar voice presence was combined with standard dementia care. If your customers ask for clinical backing, it is there.
KindredMind is a member of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America Network and donates 5% of every subscription quarterly to the dementia organization of the subscriber's choice. When your customers ask why they should buy KindredMind through you, the answer includes a recurring contribution to the cause they already support.
There is no published commission structure, no standard wholesale rate, no template contract for resellers. The reason is simple: distribution relationships in this category vary too much to template. A specialty retailer with a curated 100-product catalog is structured differently from a multi-million-dollar healthcare supply distributor.
What we have found works well across categories:
We work with you, not through layers of channel management. Conversations happen between your team and KindredMind's leadership.
Wholesale, revenue share, referral commission, white-label, or hybrid arrangements depending on what fits your catalog and your operating model.
We work with you on how KindredMind sits in your catalog, your marketing language, your customer education, and your support model.
Dementia families buy carefully. We can support your team with product training, joint webinars, and customer-facing materials in the brand voice you use with your audience.
When a loved one with dementia calls and the family caregiver cannot answer, KindredMind answers in the caregiver's voice, warm and patient, drawing on the specific knowledge the caregiver has built about their loved one: their routines, their worries, the reassurances that work for them, the stories they return to.
Every call follows the Alzheimer Society of Canada's published communication guidelines for dementia and the principles of validation therapy and simulated presence therapy.
The loved one hears the voice they called for. The anxiety resolves. The caregiver gets a summary of every call. Concerning patterns are flagged. The family stays present without being on call.
Plans start at $179 CAD / $129 USD per month for end consumers, with higher tiers available. Distributor pricing is set per arrangement.

KindredMind was built because co-founder Kirstin Thomas could not find a tool that addressed both sides of her mom Sharon's repetitive calls. Sharon lives with mixed dementia (vascular and frontotemporal lobe, amplified by a stroke) in a memory care home about twenty minutes from Kirstin's home. For a long stretch of the journey, Sharon was calling Kirstin sometimes ten times before lunch.
The conventional answers (voicemail, removing the phone) all left Sharon alone with the original fear. KindredMind was built because the gap is structural, and because the existing dementia product category had no answer for what fills that gap.
If you sell to the same families we serve, we want to be in your catalog.
"She just needs to hear my voice. I built this so she always does, even when I can't get to the phone."
